New League For Youngsters In India?

Indian Super League organisers to start a new league for youth players and reserve team players. This league will be for under- 21 players with a provision to allow some above that age group. A meeting was held between all club CEOs, Football Sports Development Limited(FSDL), and body that organises the league, & this is what they said about youth development: "there have been a limited number of competitions and leagues since the start of the pandemic outside the professional game".

ISL already have one rule in which every club should have atleast 4 development players who are born or after January 1 2001. The main reason why organisers planned to start a new league is the lack of gametime for youngsters which will affect their future.
