Ex-Atk Mohunbagan midfielder Javi Hernandez close to sign for Odisha FC ahead of upcoming Indian Super League season. Javi was a part of 2019-20 Atk who won the trophy and later merged with Mohunbagan. He was released by the club in this summer transfer window and will most probably join Odisha FC, according to trustful sources.
The 32-year old midfielder had played a descent role last season, helping the Mariners reaching the finals and was also a first choice player of Antonio Habas. He have made 16 appearances in the 2020-21 season with scoring a goal.
Atk Mohunbagan has already signed Finnish player Joni Kauko and Hugo Boumous from Mumbai City for a record fee.
