Indian Super League outfit Chennaiyin FC have completed the signing of Indian Forward and former Atk Mohunbagan player Jobby Justin. CFC are planning to give a multi year contract to the striker. Few other clubs were also interested in signing 27-year old this summer. Jobby Justin had one more year remaining his contract with Atkmb which he signed last year, but later both parties decided to mutually part ways. He was not able to play a single match in last Season's ISL due to an injury.
Kerala born Joby, in his early years as a proffesional played for Travancore Titanium and Kerala State Electricity Board. With KSEB team in 2016-17, he won the Kerala Premier League and shortly afterwards signed for East Bengal. For Eb, he featured in 27 matches, by scoring 11 goals across two seasons. In 2019-20, ahead of Indian Super League season, ATK signed him (Before Merging). He gained 1 goal and 1 assist each for the Kolkata Side in his debut Season. Later when they Merged with Mohunbagan to form Atk Mohunbagan, he continued but due to injury missed 2020-21 season.
The striker was out for many months but later restarted training. He was never a first Choice player in coach Antonio Habas's lineup. Less game time maybe was also a problem in the decision of departure. Now, fans are eager to see Jobby Justin back in action and rise to his prime.
